Bring your Placer.ai API key to SignalGuard to enrich the places and ticketmaster signals with foot-traffic analytics, attendance baselines, and crowd-density forecasts that sharpen the Crowd Potential rollup.
What Placer.ai adds to SignalGuard
Placer.ai enriches two Context-pillar signals: places and ticketmaster — two of the 50+ signals SignalGuard fuses into the venue threat score. Placer's anonymized foot-traffic data gives the platform something most other inputs can't: historical baselines for how many people actually showed up at this venue, this catchment, on a comparable day.
That baseline transforms the Crowd Potential rollup. Instead of estimating crowd density from ticket sales and venue capacity, SignalGuard can compare expected attendance against Placer's measured patterns at the same venue across prior events. The result is a sharper density forecast — more reliable ingress timing, more defensible stewarding plans.
Placer.ai is also strong on dispersal patterns. Post-event foot-traffic decay, surrounding-POI absorption, and transit-node loading all show up in Placer's data, which then feeds SignalGuard's post-event context views.
How the integration works
Paste your Placer.ai API key into the Placer tile at /integrations. SignalGuard format-checks the key on submission (Placer's API is partner-only) and stores it AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest. Real auth errors surface on first signal-time use.
Common use cases
- Sports venue Crowd Potential calibration against historical attendance
- Festival site density forecasting with measured prior-event baselines
- Post-event dispersal modeling and surrounding-POI absorption
- Transit-node loading prediction for ingress and egress planning
- Catchment validation when a venue is in a new or expanded market
- New-venue baselining when no in-house attendance history exists
What you need
A Placer.ai enterprise contract — typically $30K-100K+/yr. Begin at placer.ai/api for partner access and API credentials.
FAQ
Do I need a Placer.ai subscription? Yes — Placer enrichment is BYOK-only. Without it, SignalGuard's places and Crowd Potential rollup run from their default inputs.
Where do I add my key? In your SignalGuard workspace at /integrations. Open the Placer.ai tile and paste your API key.
Is my key secure? Yes. Keys are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest, decrypted only at request time on the server, and never logged or sent to the browser.
