Ticketmaster Discovery API for SignalGuard

Connect your Ticketmaster Discovery API key to SignalGuard for higher-quota nearby-events lookup. Bypass the shared 5K/day limit on your own contract.

Connect your Ticketmaster Discovery Consumer Key to SignalGuard for unrestricted nearby-events lookups on the venues and dates that matter to you, without competing for the shared free-tier quota.

What Ticketmaster Discovery adds to SignalGuard

Ticketmaster Discovery powers one of the core Context-pillar signals: nearby ticketed events around your venue, with their on-sale status, capacity bracket, and timing. SignalGuard uses this signal to reason about overlapping demand, ingress competition, and crowd potential — all of which weight into the venue-level threat score across the 50+-signal model.

The default SignalGuard path uses a shared Ticketmaster API key with a 5,000-call/day ceiling spread across all customers. That works for occasional checks but breaks down under continuous monitoring of multiple venues. Bringing your own Consumer Key gives you a dedicated quota and removes the noisy-neighbor risk.

For partner-tier customers with a higher Ticketmaster contract, BYOK also lets SignalGuard run wider radius sweeps and longer look-ahead windows without throttling.

How the integration works

Paste your Ticketmaster Consumer Key into the Ticketmaster tile at /integrations. SignalGuard validates it with a one-event Discovery call, then stores it AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest. All Discovery calls run server-side.

Common use cases

  • Continuous monitoring of multiple stadiums across a league or tour
  • Wide-radius nearby-event sweeps for major-market venues
  • Long look-ahead windows for tour-routing security planning
  • Avoiding rate-limit failures during high-traffic on-sale windows
  • Catchment-area analysis combining nearby-events with crowd density
  • Dedicated quota for SOC dashboards refreshing on tight intervals

What you need

A Ticketmaster Developer account at developer.ticketmaster.com. The free tier provides 5K calls/day; partner contracts unlock higher quota. Use your Consumer Key (not the Consumer Secret) for the API key field.

FAQ

Do I need a Ticketmaster subscription? Not strictly — SignalGuard ships a shared key. But for any serious monitoring cadence, your own key prevents quota contention.

Where do I add my key? In your SignalGuard workspace at /integrations. Open the Ticketmaster tile and paste your Consumer Key.

Is my key secure? Yes. Keys are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest and never appear in client-side code, logs, or telemetry.

Frequently asked

The questions ops leads ask before swapping a vendor key into SignalGuard.

Why connect my own Ticketmaster API key?
The default SignalGuard Ticketmaster signal runs on a shared 5K-calls/day quota across all customers. High-volume customers (multi-venue scanning, agencies) hit that ceiling. Bring your own Consumer Key and the nearby-events lookup runs against your quota with no throttling.
Where do I get a Ticketmaster Consumer Key?
Register at developer.ticketmaster.com → create an app → Consumer Key. Free tier is 5K calls/day. Partner contracts unlock higher quotas if you need them.
Does this enable PredictHQ attendance forecasts?
No — that's a separate integration. Ticketmaster Discovery gives you the events list. PredictHQ adds predicted attendance and impact ranks on top of that list.
Is this the same as connecting Ticketmaster for ticket sales data?
No. SignalGuard reads the public Discovery API for events near your venue — what's happening, when, where. It does not read internal sales, customer, or financial data.
