Bring your Brandwatch OAuth credentials to SignalGuard to enrich the Chatter pillar with enterprise social listening across X, Reddit, news, Telegram, and TikTok — the same data your PR or marketing organization is likely already paying for.
What Brandwatch adds to SignalGuard
Brandwatch enriches five Chatter-pillar signals: X, Reddit, news, Telegram, and TikTok — five of the 50+ signals SignalGuard fuses into its venue threat score. Brandwatch's strength is depth across long-tail forums and historical context; it's a workhorse enterprise listening tool common in PR, brand, and marketing teams whose work increasingly overlaps with corporate security ops.
For SignalGuard, the BYOK path lets a security team tap into the same data feed already licensed elsewhere in the organization, without duplicating the spend. Brandwatch's broader forum coverage also reaches communities that don't show up cleanly in X or Reddit's first-party APIs.
Inside the 50+-signal model, Brandwatch data sharpens chatter-volume curves and contributes to cross-platform spike detection. Because it covers TikTok and Telegram natively, it adds coverage in places where SignalGuard's default feeds rely on second-hand aggregation.
How the integration works
Paste your Brandwatch OAuth Client ID and Client Secret into the Brandwatch tile at /integrations. SignalGuard format-checks both fields on submission (Brandwatch's OAuth flow needs both to obtain an access token) and stores them AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest. All Brandwatch calls run server-side.
Common use cases
- Reusing an existing PR/marketing Brandwatch contract for security ops
- Multi-platform chatter monitoring during major sponsored events
- Forum-deep coverage of niche communities discussing venues or talent
- Telegram and TikTok coverage where first-party APIs are restricted
- Historical chatter baselines for new venues or one-off events
- Cross-functional analytics linking comms response and security signals
What you need
A Brandwatch enterprise contract — typically $15K-50K/yr/seat. OAuth credentials are generated from the Brandwatch Developers portal at developers.brandwatch.com. You'll need both the Client ID and Client Secret.
FAQ
Do I need a Brandwatch subscription? Yes — Brandwatch enrichment is BYOK-only. Without it, SignalGuard's chatter signals run from their default per-platform paths.
Where do I add my key? In your SignalGuard workspace at /integrations. Open the Brandwatch tile and paste both the Client ID and Client Secret.
Is my key secure? Yes. Both fields are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest, never echoed back, never logged, and only decrypted in server memory during a request.
