Everbridge is a publicly traded enterprise platform that has defined the mass-notification + risk-intel category. Visual Command Center (VCC) is widely deployed in corporate security operations centers. We're not here to claim parity. SignalGuard is a newer, leaner, event-security-specific platform — not a full enterprise mass-notification suite.
If you need to send 100,000 SMS messages to employees during a hurricane, SignalGuard is the wrong tool. We don't do that. If you need 50+ live signals fused into a Live Monitor for the security team running tonight's show, that's exactly what we built.

When Everbridge is the right choice
- You need to notify thousands of people fast. That's Everbridge's flagship product. Multi-channel mass notification — SMS, voice, email, push, desktop — is what they do better than anyone. SignalGuard does not.
- You're operating a global corporate security program. VCC was built to give a corporate CSO a single map of risk across offices, travelers, and assets worldwide. That's a different problem than the one SignalGuard solves.
- You have compliance and duty-of-care obligations to a large workforce. Everbridge has the documentation, certifications, and audit posture that enterprise procurement and legal teams expect for employee safety.
When SignalGuard is the right choice
- You're protecting an event, not a workforce. Festivals, concerts, sporting events, conferences, tours. The Live Monitor is tuned for crowd, venue, ingress, transit, weather, and chatter geofenced to a place and a date — not employees scattered across an org chart.
- You want to BYOK premium feeds. Everbridge largely sells you their stack. SignalGuard lets you plug in keys for 25 paid providers you may already subscribe to — so you stop paying for the same signal twice.
- You need to be live in days. Event security cycles don't accommodate quarter-long enterprise rollouts. SignalGuard pilots run in 14 days.
- You want event-day signal depth, not breadth of corporate features. SignalGuard goes deep on 50+ signals for the show. Everbridge goes broad on the enterprise.
Migration and coexistence: you don't have to choose
This pairing is common and works well:
- Everbridge stays as the notification and corporate risk layer. When something requires mass communication to employees, fans, or staff, Everbridge fires.
- SignalGuard runs the event-operations layer. The 50+-signal Live Monitor is the security command bridge on event day.
- Handoff via API or workflow. A SignalGuard alert that crosses a threshold can trigger an Everbridge notification flow. Your team decides the threshold.
We've intentionally avoided building mass notification because Everbridge does it better and we'd rather integrate than reinvent.
Pricing snapshot
Everbridge is enterprise SaaS. At time of writing (2026), Everbridge contracts commonly start in the mid-five figures annually for smaller deployments and scale into six figures for full enterprise VCC + mass notification + risk intel suites. Pricing is module- and seat-based and quoted by sales.
SignalGuard tier pricing starts in the low four figures per month. BYOK feeds are passed through at your cost.
FAQ
Does SignalGuard send mass SMS or voice notifications? No. We integrate with platforms like Everbridge for that. We are operational intelligence, not notification.
Is SignalGuard certified for enterprise duty-of-care use cases? SignalGuard is built for event security, not workforce duty of care. If your primary requirement is employee safety compliance, Everbridge is purpose-built for it.
Can SignalGuard trigger an Everbridge notification? Yes, via API or workflow integration. A threshold-crossing alert in the Live Monitor can fire an Everbridge campaign.
How many signals does SignalGuard fuse? 26, across Chatter, Environment, Movement, and Context.
What does a SignalGuard pilot look like? 14 days, live on a real event, with our team on standby.
