Premium event-security data is expensive. AccuWeather Enterprise,
Ticketmaster partner quotas, Dataminr Pulse, Recorded Future,
Flashpoint, HERE Traffic, INRIX, Brandwatch, Sprinklr,
PredictHQ, Foursquare, Placer.ai, Mandiant — every one of these
sits on a contract that runs from a few hundred a month to six
figures a year. If SignalGuard baked those into the SaaS price,
PAYG could not exist at $19 and Pro could not exist at
$249/mo. We would have to pass the bill through.
Instead, on Pro and above you can connect any of
25 supported BYOK providers
with your own subscription. Paste the key into
/integrations,
we validate it server-side, encrypt it at rest with AES-256-GCM
bound to your workspace, and the next scan uses your contract
for that signal. Same brief, same scoring, higher fidelity on
the inputs you already pay for.
This is the mechanism that lets us hold PAYG at $19/scan and
Pro at $249/mo. Customers who don't have premium contracts get
working coverage on every one of the 50+ signals using
SignalGuard's shared upstream quotas — enough to evaluate,
enough to run real scans. Customers who already pay AccuWeather
or Dataminr or Recorded Future get the fidelity their contract
entitles them to, without paying for it twice.
The full provider list — Chatter, Environment, Movement, and
Context pillars — is on the
BYOK page.

happens when a key expires.
